Why I Love Triple Threads Baseball Booklets

Topps Triple Threads Baseball has always been considered a high-end product. When I think of Triple Threads I think of BOOKLETS. I know that booklets in a way aren't really a card but 2 of 3 cards put into 1, but every booklet has MOJO! My favorite types of booklets are the tri-fold ones with the jumbo patches.

But I am also a fan of the the booklets that fold once and have a jumbo patch on one side and a dual relic on the other. The patches are usally very nice and the players that are used are usually very good.

Grading Your Cards

Grading a Sports card is a great idea, as long as its no a random base card of a know body. I believe in only grading a card as long as its either and investment or just a really nice card. Also if you know that its going to get a bad grade don't bother getting it graded.
When is come to getting a card graded there are 2 main company's used and 1 other that isn't used to often. the 2 that are used the most are Beckett Grading and PSA Grading, and the other grading company is Sports Card Guarantee. My personal favorite is Beckett because there are many different choices for grading types and the case that the cards are encased in look better that PSA and Sports Card Guarantee. Below I will post the website URL's to the 3 company's. Enjoy!

Preview: 2012 Bowman Platinum Baseball

Set to release on July 25 is 2012 Bowman Platinum Baseball. I must say I am very excited about this product. After looking at the notable signers I decided that this is a product that I really want to try. The signers range from Bubba Starling to Albert Pujols! Also I must say I like the design of the base cards (but I have always loved Bowman Platimun base cards). The product also included Jumbo Patches and Bat Barrels. Each Hobby Box will include 2 refractor autos and 1 refractor relic auto. Also included would be possibilitys of 1/1 printing plates, atomic refractors and super refractors. This product is full of high end products. Below will be pictures of possible cards that could be pulled (from Beckett.com).

What I Think About: 2011 Panini plates and Patches

2011 Panini Plates & Patches Football
2011 Panini plates and Patches

I must say I have never busted a box of 2011 Panini Plates and Patches, but I have seen many break videos and reviews of the product. I have heard good things and I have heard bad things. What I believe about this product it is it's a hit or miss. You could get an auto of some player that you have never herd of or you could get a Cam Newton Patch Auto. The checklist does included Legend Cut Autos, and those can be very nice (all of the cut autos are #'d out of 49 or less). The product contains 1 pack with 10 cards, you will get a total of 2 autographed cards and 2 memorabilia cards. The case of 2011 Panini Plates and Patches contains 15 hobby boxes. The regular Hobby Box is going for $150.00 and the 15-box case is going for $2,250.00. So I believe it is worth getting a hobby box and trying it out, and worth buying a case if you have the money and are in love with the product! Below I will post some pictures from sportscardradio.com to show you some examples. I hope this helps you!

Best Cards to invest in RIGHT NOW Jan-11

Sports Cards can be very expensive or extremely cheap, depending on the player and whats on the card (relics, autographs, or just serial numbered), but prices of cards are always changing. In this weeks blog I am going to tell you the best cards to invest in RIGHT NOW! So keep on reading if your willing to invest!

- Bary Larkin Rookie Card
Barry Larkin is now retired and was an overall solid player. He should soon be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Being inducted into the Hall of Fame will definetly bring the price up of his rookie cards. Barry Larkin has 3 rookie cards out:

-1987 Donruss Barry Larkin Rookie (goes for 6 dollars)
-1987 Topps Barry Larkin (goes for 5 dollars) (in pic below)
-1987 Fleer Barry Larkin Rookie (goes for 5-6 dollars)

- Jermey Lin Rookie Card
The Jeremy Lin rookie card has been a VERY HOT card in the past 5 days or so. He has only had 4 great games with the New York Knicks but his cards has skyrocketed. This is a great card to buy right now but it would be more of a short term investment, unless he can play like he has the last few games every game. He has a good amount of cards out right now.

Examples of a few:
-2010-11 Playoff Contenders Jeremy Lin Rookie Manufactured Patch Auto (goes for 160-220 dollars) (in pic below)
-2010-11 Panini Prestige Jeremy Lin Rookie Auto (goes for 150-205 dollars)
-2010-11 Panini Prestige Jeremy Lin Rookie (goes for 15-35 dollars)

1993 Derek Jeter SP Rookie
Even though there are more Derek Jeter rookie cards out there the 1993 SP version is selling the best right now and is the most expensive right now. Derek Jeter has always been a great and consistent player for the New York Yankees. He will most likely retire in the next couple of years, and most likely (almost 100% sure) be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. When he is inducted his rookie card will rise in price even more! Getting the his rookie card graded would also be a great idea for investors (grading it will also lift it's price).
